Does DPM work over workstation-based VPN? One of my clients is not in an office that has a dedicated VPN. So she connects to our network by VPN on her Windows 7 computer. When she connects that way, her DPM agent doesn't work. I also am unable to install the agent when connected by desktop VPN. Everything works fine as long as the workstation is connected directly to the network, but when using a workstation-based VPN, nothing DPM-related works.
I would look at the kind of traffic that is going on when the machine is directly connected. Perhaps only NTLM is working while the VPN is means of connectivity.
But Kerberos or other ports are not working.
