I'm embarrassed to even post this, but I'm having an issue getting one of my PCs connected to the Internet. I have network connectivity. I can RDP into any of my network computers without issue (there are no off-site computers). None of the other machines, which are connected to the same switch, are experiencing this issue. I have checked all of the network adapter settings on the PC in question, double checked DNS and rebooted the troublesome PC. I have even disabled the adapter and re-enabled the device. I have also tried using Google's DNS addresses just in case, but to no avail.

Pings timeout of course, but a Trace-route of www.google.com does return an IP address. None of the PCs on the network use a Proxy server and these settings are neither set or selected in general. Just to be sure I reset all the browsers to default without luck. AVG is installed and all scans have come back clean. I have also disabled AVG firewall and Windows Firewall, this too has not helped. Other things I have tried include flushing the DNS cache and uninstalling/re-installing the network adapter driver. No dice on the last two tasks either.

So, any other suggestions? Thank you in advance. =D

Default gateway? Static routes? Somebody doesn't like you and set up a restrictive ACL on the router that blocks all traffic from that MAC to the outside world? Have you tried a different switch port?
