I have created a HR Clearance Form using Infopath and Sharepoint 2010. My workflow is tied to a browser based form library and have several tasks.
The problem I am experiencing is the link to the Form Name within the task email does not allow the form to open in the browser which is important for the workflow to work properly. When a user clicks on this link, it prompts the user to open the form within the Infopath client application. It should open in the browser. Does anyone know the solution for this? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
In order for the form to display in a web browser, the correct edition of SharePoint must be used, and the server properly configured. The feature is called "InfoPath Forms Services," and is only available in the Enterprise Edition of SharePoint. If you know you have that edition installed, it's possible that the service is not configured, or may not be working properly.
The administrator checked and the server is correctly configured.
The form will open in the browser when I include a send email action in the workflow; however, the link within the task notification email after a task is created opens form in the application. I need it to open in the browser.
Any other suggestions?
