Trying to create a trust between domainA.com and domainB.com. The trust wizard fails with "The new trust wizard can not continue because the domain can not be contacted."

Firewall is open in both directions.

I can ping domainB from domainA and domainA from domainB

Not a clue where it's getting stuck. Any ideas?

Split-brains. So I figured I'd try conditional forwarders but that didn't work. Tried hosts file that didn't work.

UPDATE

I just added the opposing domains DC IP to "Forwarders" list and bumped it to the top of the list. The server FQDN populated instantly. The trust wizard is now happy happy.
