Everyone knows that an email can have a bug attached to it or even in the email itself so that if you open it, you get bit (your PC that is).

I've been wondering, as long as I've been using Outlook (various versions), if you have the viewing pane up to where you can see the contents of the email, is that the same as if you double click on the email to open it? Not any attachments, just the body of the email.

As I said, just curious. My searches turn up nothing.
