I don't know if you want to break out a different thread for each platform but here's mine. I know some mentioned them in the console thread to but figured maybe you could glance through here if just looking for titles.
PC Games I enjoy playing Hitman. There is a series with the latest being Hitman: Blood Money. It's a FPS with a bit of a story.
Hooked on Rome: Total War. Or any really good RTS.
I've been waiting for the next StarCraft also from Blizzard but I think they are only doing Warcraft.
XBox Used to play NCAA Football but haven't gotten out of the habit of playing it.

I tremendously enjoyed the matrix games on xbox 1. I know they got a bad rap and I don't know how they faired on PC, but I dug it. I'm a big fan of WWII games, almost regardless of game style...Company of Heros of PC is great although my PC barely runs it. Medal of Honor series for PS1 and XBOX and the Call of Duty series on 360 has my latest vote.
I'm also really into sports games...FIFA soccer, TOP SPIN (an incredible tennis game if you've never played) and Madden are all consistently in rotation.

On consoles: Madden, Madden, Madden. Did I mention Madden? On PC: Was so hooked on Rome Total War that I did little else. Haven't played a game in months because I want to catch up with new MS stuff and shoot photos instead. But the itch is there. Also a big Rainbow 6 fan. Got the 3rd one for $8 a month or so ago but trying not to play it until I catch up with work stuff. |

Andy, What's the story with R6 Vegas? Is it XBox/multiplayer only? I've played the first 2 to death, plus expansion packs. Can't wait to get going with the 3rd. Vegas sounds like it could be chock full of sniper opportunities .... nothing beats tapping someone with a Barat .50 cal from a shady location.
I'm not really an FPS player but what makes this different is the planning and tactical approach rather than running around like a lunatic |

http://uk.gamespot.com/news/6145453.html?sid=6145453 Never played Rainbow series before but waiting for this one
Looks like it's the PC version last
I have herd that the Game engine is the same one used for GRAW but hopefully by the release date an glitches will be sorted.

Most of the games listed have been PC games...for any of you console gamers out there here are a few of my favs:
PS2: God of War, Okami, Anything Metal Gear XBox: Ninja Gaiden, Knights of the Old Republic (1 and 2), Jade Empire, Battlefield 2 360: GEARS OF WAR!!!!!!!!! PS3: Resistance Fall of Man (I have so much fun with the multiplayer that I haven't done anything of note in the campaign), the Motorstorm demo looks awesome! Wii: Of course ZELDA
I am looking forward to MGS4, Lair, Motorstorm and Assassin's Creed. |

I have an Xbox 360 and the regular Xbox. I loved Halo and Halo2 and am waiting for Halo3 to come out. Does anyone know when it's supposed to come out? I loved everything about that game - the music, etc., except the Warthog. I hate driving those things!
My husband loves Splinter Cell. I got him Splinter Cell Double Agent for Christmas. Right now he's playing Rainbow 6 Vegas and can't get enough.
I have an old Nintendo console that I play Galaga on. I also have PacMan and Mrs. Pacman, but can't find a good joystick that can get me around corners. I've been looking for a long time.

I've been playing BF2 on and off for about a year and a half. I'll never forget the first time I showed my brother-in-law the game (he's a former Army Ranger).
He started sweating profusely. He bought the game and a new gaming computer by the end of the week.
I've also like the Unreal Tournament series, and I'll admit carjacking people in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was fun.
I love flight sims as well, but I've been hesitant to pick up FS-X until the hardware catches up.

Perhaps someone can guide me...
The games I've wasted the most time with are mainly strategy ones like the Star Controls, Spaceward Ho, Rail Barons and the like. I don't get the impression that anything like that exists in the PS or Xbox world. True? Thanks. |

| Not Railroad Tycoons, mind you... Rail Barons. Great Avalon Hill game adapted for Windows. RT was too dang complex for me; Sid Meier comes up with some great stuff but he's tended to require more and more micromanagement. |

Just thought of a few games I couldn't get enough of when they were "new". M1 Tank Platoon (on the Atari ST-FM) and M1A1 Tank Platoon on the PC. Totally addictive tactical simulator. I started playing the originals before the "Levaing Cert" (state exams you take at 17 years old or so that determine your future education) and couldn't put it down. I came across the sequel, M1A1, about 5 years ago. the same thing..... addictive. Controlling a cople of M1A1 tank plattons and running the gun. Calling in air support, artillery, controlling IFV and CFV along with their infantry platoons. Blowing up loads of Russian or Iraqi tank columns. Think they were both by EA when EA was best known for simulations rather than sports games. The manuals were about 3/4 of an inch thick and absolutely full of information on how to survive.
Great fun when it all works right and a 2 hour window could just zip by. next thing you know it's 03:00 and you're supposed to be in a meeting in work in a few hours ... or you've got an English exam that is chock full of Shakeaspear or some other daft play with a dude talking to his imaginary friend. |

Yup...I gotcha. I have a copy of the board game at home that I found in a small hobby shop several years go. Whenever we played, we used my brother-in-laws set, but in the event it was ever lost/destroyed/etc we'd have a backup. |

| I like all the SOCOM series. I used to LOVE Rainbow Six, and all the subsequent ones as well. I also can't get enough of Gran Turismo on the Playstation. I've always wanted to check out Project Gotham on X-Box, because it's supposed to compare to GT in realism. |

There should be only one World's Greatest Dad shirt. And you should have to kill the previous owner to wear it.

I just got Rainbow Six Vegas for my 360 and it is so much better than I thought. I have been stuck on Gears of War for a while, but this game has finally gotten Gears out of my tray.
Single player and multi-player both rock. |

Well that explains how you passed the "M1 Tank Platoon 'A' Level" Aidan I was in the same boat as you with Tank Platoon on the ST FM took I was a hopeless adict and spent hours playing. That was after I came out of the RAF so war sims where my weakness in those days. |

I don't play many games on the PC anymore; the last was Serious Sam II. However, I recently purchased an XBox 360 and must say that I can't get enough of Call of Duty 2 and 3!! Those games are completely addicting and cause me to lose track of time...especially when playing on Xbox Live! I bought some other games for my XBox, but didn't find them nearly as fun and addicting.

If like me you are short on time you really cant beat Half Life 2 Deathmatch. Loads of action, cool weapons, great graphics/physics. There is no going back 2 levels to find a key you missed, just action, action and more action.
Back when I had more time I enjoyed Myst. It was the first game that really amazed me and kept me busy for many hours. Counter Strike (if you could find/create a server were pukes didnt run every hack in known to man), Quake III, Medal of Honor, Call of Duty 2, Splinter Cell were all great games.

I used to be a PC gamer, but it gets too expensive trying to keep up with hardware. I'm not strictly console now, but I can't play any new titles on my PC.
Here's my list -
PC Neverwinter Nights Counterstrike GTAIII - Vice City Diablo
Xbox Lego Star Wars series PGR2 Halo & Halo 2
Wii Wii Sports - you can't go wrong with a bit o' bowling. Legend of Zelda
PS3 Resistance: Fall of Man Oblivion Rainbow Six - Vegas
Those are the ones that I can recall offhand that I really enjoyed. And this doesn't even go into the old-school consoles since I still have my original PS, an N64, SuperNES, NES and even an old Atari Jaguar.
