The Outside is Painted and Some of the Drywall is Up
On 20 December, the house had a coat of paint and the insides were insulated. A day's worth of drywall work had already taken place. Outside shots:
From the dune:

All the railing is up except for the sundown porch on the other side of the house. I like the verticals around the spiral staircase, but I worry if they'll clash with the basketweave trellis that they'll put on later.
View looking northwest:

You can see the uprights on the left side of the second floor where the screened-in porch will be.
Looking from the beach access:

Again, it's a shame that I couldn't build closer, but once the guy on the right washes out to sea I'll have a terrific view. From the beach:

Seems like the dunes are building themselves up compared to the earlier pictures; that'd be good news. Looking from the street to the southeast:

From the street looking northeast:

The inside starts to look different, as there's insulation in most of the walls, even the inner walls.

That's the view out the dining room, with the office to the left.
A couple of shots of the office/kitchen area:

Again, the ceiling is going to be considerably higher than I'd envisioned it.

Turning around, some views by the entrance. The shaft to the right is the dumbwaiter. The kitchen is on the extreme right.

Looking up for another view of the ceiling height. Maybe we'll test fly model airplanes in the great room.

View from the kitchen looking out west in the direction of the street. For orientation, note the dumbwaiter shaft to the right. The passage to the left is a small hall leading to a bathroom and the entrance to the sundown porch.

View from the dumbwaiter downstairs to the entryway.
